Why Refer to Solve Sleep Apnea?
When your patients cannot tolerate CPAP — or prefer an alternative for mild-to-moderate OSA — oral appliance therapy is the evidence-based solution recommended by the AASM. We make the referral process simple and keep you in the loop.
Credentialed Sleep Specialists
Our providers hold recognized credentials in dental sleep medicine, including Diplomate of the International Academy of Sleep (D-IAOS), AADSM Qualified Dentist designations, and board-certified ENT/Sleep Medicine specialists.
Objective Outcome Verification
Every patient receives a follow-up home sleep test to verify treatment efficacy. We share the results with you.
Complete Documentation
You receive a consultation report, treatment plan, and outcome data for your patient's medical record.
5 Locations Across Southern California
Sorrento Valley, Hillcrest, Vista, Carmel Valley, and Irvine — serving San Diego, North County, and Orange County.
Our Coordinated Care Model
We treat oral appliance therapy as a collaborative process between the referring physician and the dental sleep medicine specialist. Your patient remains your patient — we provide the dental sleep medicine expertise and handle the appliance fabrication, titration, and follow-up.
The Referral Process
Referring a patient takes less than 2 minutes. We handle insurance verification, pre-authorization, and all administrative paperwork.
Send the Referral
Fax or submit an online referral with the patient's sleep study results, diagnosis, and a prescription for an oral appliance. Our e-fax number is (858) 898-5093. If the patient does not yet have a sleep study, we can arrange a home sleep test.
We Verify Insurance, Schedule & Treat
Within 24–48 hours, we verify the patient's insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorization if required, and contact the patient to inform them of coverage details and schedule the consultation. After evaluation, we fabricate a custom oral appliance, titrate it over 4–8 weeks, and confirm efficacy with a follow-up home sleep test. You receive a complete outcome report including pre- and post-treatment AHI data.
Identifying Obstructive Sleep Apnea — Key Points
85% of patients can be diagnosed with an accurate, convenient Home Sleep Test.
70% of OSA patients could be effectively treated with a custom oral airway device.
OSA Severity Scale
A custom oral airway device is an excellent OSA first-line treatment for patients with an AHI between 5.1/hr. to 40.0/hr.
Insurance note: CPAP failure, intolerance, or refusal documentation strengthens approval for patients with OSA.
Our Provider Credentials
Your patients are treated by providers who specialize in sleep medicine — not general practitioners who offer sleep services as a side offering.
